Johanna MacMaster has traveled widely while growing up in Germany. Thanks to her father, who owned a Relais Chateaux Hotel “Der Schafhof” in Bavaria, Johanna has visited and enjoyed virtually all of the finest hotels and destinations of her native Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France. Johanna received her Abitur (high school diploma) from Internat Schule Schloss Salem. Following studies in law at the Universities of Würzburg and Köln, Johanna returned to her true passion, the profession of a hotelier. During this training, she worked at the Hotel Bristol in Paris, along with several other fine establishments, as well as her father's hotel, learning the business "from the ground up".

After graduating college I was able to transform my degree in Advertising to that of a Corporate Meeting planner. Whether it was hotel contract negotiations, group travel, intimate gatherings, or conferences of 5000, my focus was always on the guest experience. How would that one person feel attending, seeing, hearing, and dining? It is the little details that often make the most difference.

As a kid, I dreamed of faraway places. Although traveling the US when I was young, it was in college, I took off for a two-month journey with only a backpack and a rail pass that led me all over Europe and was life-changing.
